Below are four magazine layouts I could use as inspiration for Adulting-Ish. Each layout is minimal in design and geometric. Using geometric design would appeal to Western aesthetic and could be garnished with symbols and patterns used on the African continent.
Given that Adulting-ish magazine will use highly saturated colors I that they mesh well with both African and Western aesthetic i.e. colors that might be used in traditional cloth. Additionally colors used would need to e eye-catching for its young-adult post-graduate demographic target. The five palettes below fulfill each of these requirements.
The title of my magazine will be “Adulting-ish”. Adult-ish, will be minimal in design, and incorporate elements of African and Western aesthetic. It will use highly saturated color, be witty/sarcastic in tone, and irreverent.
